There is only one me — and everything I offer comes from a life spent learning how to care for beauty, for the body, and for the land.

My love for this work began long before I knew it was work. As a young girl, I was endlessly fascinated by my mother's makeup — the colors, the transformation, the quiet magic of it. That fascination became a calling. I trained as a makeup artist and began my professional career in New York City with MAC Cosmetics, learning the craft of beauty at its highest level.

When I moved to Ohio in 2007, I followed that calling deeper. I enrolled in esthetics training at The Spa School and studied Fine Arts with a focus on color theory at the Columbus College of Art and Design, after earning a degree in History from The Ohio State University — training that quietly shapes every brow, every lip, and every custom shade I blend to this day. I have never stopped being an artist; I simply found a new canvas.

In 2012, I earned my lash extension certification — becoming one of the early pioneers of lash artistry in Columbus, Ohio. I've been performing lash lifts since 2013, back when the technique was still known simply as a lash perm. Over two decades, I've cared for my clients with devotion, refining my craft without pause: permanent makeup at Daria Chupry's Golden Brows Academy, advanced color matching as a certified Permanent Makeup Color Pro Artist, and professional HydraFacial training. I believe mastery is never finished — it is tended, like a garden.

Over the years, my work has become known for one thing above all: it does not look like work at all. I am sought out for the most natural-looking lash extensions and permanent makeup around — enhancement so subtle and so carefully customized that it simply looks like you, at your most rested and refined. To me, that is the truest form of artistry. Not to transform a person into someone else, but to help them look exactly like themselves, and feel beautifully seen.

The healing work came later — and it came for me first. I turned to these practices to find balance in a full and busy life, and they steadied me; they brought me home to myself. Over years of study — including natural medicine and shamanism across Peru, Mexico, and Central America — what began as my own healing slowly became something I could offer others. I couldn't separate any of it from my work at the table. So now I simply share what has helped me on my own journey, woven gently into the care I give.

I know what it means to feel truly cared for. Years ago, while struggling with cystic acne, I sat in a chair and had my makeup done professionally — and for the first time in a long while, I felt seen. I felt beautiful. I felt at peace. That feeling is the heart of everything I do. When you come to me, that is what I want for you: to feel good, to feel cared for, to feel seen, and to leave more at peace than when you arrived.

What makes my approach different isn't only the years of education, training, and experience I bring — though those years are real, and they matter. It's the philosophy behind the care.

I am also a farmer and earth tender. My partner and I steward a regenerative forest where we practice permaculture, keep bees, and create thriving ecosystems for all life. I work this land with my own hands. We care for the soil, the water, the trees, and every living thing that calls it home — and that same devotion, that same deep and patient care, is what I extend to every client who sits with me, whether in the studio or out on our land. It is also the spirit in which we are building Graceful Forest: a gathering place for healers and artists, where others who offer this work are welcomed in.

I am a safe space. I walk away from drama and anything that disturbs my peace, and I protect that peace fiercely — because it is the very thing I am here to offer you. After many years and many seasons, I have finally built a space that is fully my own — and it is exactly where I am meant to be. This is a place to exhale. A place to be cared for. A place to come home to yourself.

I'm so glad you're here. — Kay

The Artist's Eye

Why My Work
Looks Natural

Before I ever held a lash tweezer or a PMU machine, I was an artist. I studied Fine Arts with a focus on color theory at the Columbus College of Art and Design — and that training shapes everything I do. Permanent makeup, in particular, is the art of color: reading your skin's undertones, understanding how pigment will heal and soften over years, and blending a shade that looks beautifully, naturally yours.

I approach every brow, every lip, every lash the way a painter approaches a canvas — with a trained eye, a steady hand, and deep respect for the face before me. It is why my work heals soft, true, and undetectable.
